This workshop was held at University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumphur on 27 September 2017. The resource person is Prof. Don McNeil together with three assistants: Assist. Prof. Dr. Apiradee Lim, Dr. Potjamas Chuangchang and Mr. Suhaime Buya from Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus.

It aims to cover classical statistical and machine learning methods (recursive partitioning, random forest and neural network). The performance of predictions of these methods are compared using the example data of ecological and financial fields.

Rstudio software is the programme for practicing data anaylsis.
