This seminar was held in Room 6310 of Building 6 on the campus of Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Phuket City on Thursday and Friday 26-27 June, 2014. All persons were welcome to attend and there was no registration fee, but since places were limited, participants were advised to register their desire to attend in advance by emailing don.mcneil@mq.edu.au and thus ensure that they received their copy of the booklet of presentations on arrival.
The program comprised an opening presentation by Professor Virasakdi Chongsuvivatwong describing his work as one of the world's leading health scientists, followed by six two-hour sessions chaired by scientists from Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, where scholars presented materials, methods and results from studies of importance to the human health, environment, and ecology of the region.
   
The seminar was jointly organised by the Faculties of Technology & Environment (Phuket campus) and Science & Technology (Pattani campus) of PSU, IPB Bogor (Indonesia) and UM Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
