Assoc Prof Dr Sukree Hajisamae is Dean of the Faculty of Science & Technology at PSU and a leading researcher in Fisheries Science. He completed his PhD at the National University of Singapore.
We are very honoured to have our distinguished keynote speaker Professor Virasakdi Chongsuvivatwong as discussant for the Health Science session. Professor Virasak was recently officially recognized as Thailand's leading scientific researcher.
After completing her PhD in Epidemiology at PSU in Hat Yai, Rohani Jehasae got Fredskorpset (FK) scholarship personnel exchange programs to work in Nepal for 10 months in 2011. After that, she was appointed as Dean of the new faculty of Nursing in Pattani Campus in 2016. Her research interests include growth and development of children in violence-prone areas.
After a stint in the UK at Manchester’s Institute of Science & Technology, Dr Hart Suhartono completed his PhD in Statistics at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, and now is a leading researcher at ITS University’s Department of Statistics in Surabaya.
After completing her PhD in Epidemiology at PSU in Hat Yai, Metta Kuning was appointed as Director of the Deep South Coordination Centre, which focuses on helping widows and children that have suffered as a result of the insurgency in Thailand’s three southern-most provinces.
Dr Attachai Ueranantasun will open the Seminar and take responsibility for its smooth running on Day 1. After a stint at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, Attachai completed his PhD on graphical methods for decision support systems in the Faculty of Science & Technology at PSU, where he supervises students in the Research Methodology graduate program and teaches in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Dr Nurin Duereh will open the Seminar and take responsibility for its smooth running on Day 2. Nurin completed her PhD on data modification method for logistic regression on tables with zero count in the Faculty of Science & Technology at PSU, where she teaches in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
After completing his PhD in Statistics at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, Khairil Notodiputro was promoted to Professor of Statistics at Bogor Agricultural University in West Java where he and his colleagues have developed one of the strongest research groups in Statistical Theory and Methods in the South-East Asian Region.
Dr Ruthaychonnee Sittichai completed her PhD in Research Methodology at PSU, during which time she spent 18 months in the Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London University doing research on cyber-bullying. She worked with COST IS0801 Cyberbullying coping withnegative and enhancing positive uses of new technologyies in relationships in educational setting for 27 Uropean countries and webmaster for this research action from 2008-2012. Dr Ruth is currently an Assistant Professor in the university’s Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.
Dr Yin-Sze Lim completed her PhD in Microbial Biotechnology at the Universiti Putra Malaysia in year 2010. Dr Lim is currently an Assistant Professor in Nutrition in the School of Biosciences. Her teaching interests include nutrition, biochemistry, microbiology and biotechnology related modules. Her research interests include the mechanism and health potential of underutilised crops, probiotic and prebiotic products
