This workshop was held at the Department of Computer Science and Department of Stistics, Faculty of Science, Chiangmai University. The resource person of this workshop was Emeritus Prof. Don McNeil. The assistants were Assist. Prof. Apiradee Lim and Dr. Pojamas Chuangchang from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Prince of Songkla Univesity, Pattani Campus.

It covered classical statistical and machine learning methods (recursive partitioning, random forest and neural network). The performance of predictions of these methods are compared using the example data of credit card fraud and financial assets.

Participants used Rstudio software for practicing data anaylsis. Rstudio is an integrated development environment for R which is more convenient for beginning R users.
